Overview of the 1st INDO-FRENCH Cafe Meet ( French Chaat )

Dear Friends,

The 1st Indo-French Cafe meet ( French Chaat ), went off to a flying start last Saturday.

Being the 1st meet, those present gave a definite form and direction to the meet and highlighted the importance of having such a meet.

There were many suggestions that came up, some of them are listed below:
To include a old Delhi walk or Rickshaw tour going through the dense streets of Old Delhi and experiencing life on the street.
Reading from famous books of French authors like Albert Camus & Indian authors like Munshi Premchand.
Having a discussion & comparison on cartoon characters famous in India like Chacha Choudhry & Astrix in France and Belgium.
Finding festivals of each other regions which are common in nature and discovering the stories around them.
Live Video chat with some French or Indian personality with the group.
Interesting Videos and Films sharing at the event.
Engaging ourselves in Indian spiritual discussion & Western realism
Indian delicacies like Dhokla chatni, Samosa and wafers along with tea & coffee was served by the beautiful Goyal couple who were our host for the meet.

The theme for next Meet was decided at “Pourquoi Holi?”- which coincides with the festival of colors called Holi in India.
Snacks & delicacies prepared in Old Delhi on Holi will be offered at the venue.

I am enclosing certain Pics of the meet.

We hope to see you all at the next Cafe meet on 26th March 2011 at 5p.m at the same location.
