The French Embassy in India / Institut Français requires a Project Manager to work in its artistic
section for a temporary period of time. The Project Manager will implement the cultural policy
and programme of the artistic section for the French cultural network in India.
The Project Manager will intervene in specific artistic domains in the field of performing arts
notably theatre, dance, circus, puppetry and street art. S/he will be responsible for good relations
and links with new and existing cultural partners including the Alliance Française network,
Institut Français in Paris and other French, Indian and international cultural institutions as well as
artists and performers. S/he will create and manage a database of all contacts related to his/her
field of intervention, will handle finances and budgets related to projects and will participate in
projects or events organised at the Institut Français. The Project Manager will follow the festival
of France in India, Bonjour India 2013.
The job requires the following qualifications:
Professional skills: Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, flexibility in work
timings, multitasking, ability to work in a team, exposure to the Indian
cultural scene with prior work experience in any artistic domain and
sound computer skills (WORD, EXCEL mandatory; other graphic or
multimedia skills a plus).
Languages: Knowledge of English and French. Knowledge of Hindi will be an advantage.
Contract: Six months
