IATF North (Indian Association of Teachers of French – North) organized the Concours d’orthographe for the School/College/ Le Frehindi partner schools/ Alliance Francaise networks at 3 different levels (Debutant, Intermediaire et Avance). This competition was held in 10 different cities in the month of November and December for the first time in India. The second round got complete for North on 6th Dec 2013 and and the third round is most likely to happen in the mid of January 2014, where each of the 3 winners of different levels will be going to Chennai for the final round, and the last round will be held in Chennai with other zones participants from across India. All winners from each zone will be taken to Chennai on an all expense paid trip & chance to participate and win the grand prize at Chennai.
The 1st meet of all teachers of participating institutions happened on 23rd November 2013 at Institut Francais, the French Embassy Compound at 2, Aurangzeb Road, New Delhi for the North India Chapter of IATF.
Mrs. Caroline Schmit & Mr. Jean Yves Gillon from Embassy of France were present along with Mr. Ashwani Goyal, Mrs. Shobhna Upreti of Goyal Publishers & Distributors P Ltd and from the organizing team Mr. Haru Mehra, Director – Frehindi Education P Ltd & Ms. Pearl Jindal – North President de IATF.
Many schools participated collected their packets containing the 1st round question papers and corrections papers.
Prizes were given to the institution which got the highest number of registrations and DPS – Noida won the same with about 170 registrations.
The Prizes sponsored by Goyal Publishers where distributed to the top three participating schools followed by light snacks later in the evening.
The 1st round was held at respective institution or Schools on 29th & 30th Nov 2013.
Mr. Haru Mehra & Ms. Pearl Jindal took the responsibility to personally oversee the conduct of examination at Delhi University and Alliance Francaise de Delhi on 30th Nov. 2013. They were ably supported till end by Mrs. Sonali Arora Chug & Mr. Deepak from Eicher Public School.
